Joining the Fray!

Well, Fran started a wordpress blog, (http://sgtgizmo.wordpress.com/) so I thought I might as well start one too! Besides, when I send letters to the editor of my local paper, he takes his own sweet time printing them. This way, I can say what I want to say and have it “printed” immediately!

While my husband is an Army National Guard soldier on his way to a mission in Iraq, my writing won’t necessarily be about Fran's absence, the war, the United States, the protesters, or the heroes. At the same time, however, it will be all about what it is like to be a soldier's wife in her heroes' absence.

While I am a homeschool mom of 4 with only three left to graduate, my words won't always be about the life of a homeschool mom. At the same time, they will be, 'cause that is what I am!

While I am a Christian, my comments won't always be about my faith, although, at the same time, they will truly always be the story of my faith and my journey of knowing who God is and who he wants me to be.

While I have an ear for politics and conservative, "right wing" talk radio, I probably won't address such topics every day. At the same time, my posts will be rooted in that perspective.

While I like scrapbooking and have done more pages than I can count, I won't be discussing my paper cutting habits most of the time, but I assure you that sometimes it will show up and bore those of you who could care less!

While I live in Maine, I will do my best not to bore you with too much about the weather….however, you can take the Mainah out of Maine, but you can't take the Maine out of "A Real Mainah!"
