Doin' the Washin'

I received a sample of this detergent as a hostess gift from my friend Jennifer.  I'm thinking of making it and want to save it somewhere, so here it is!
2 c. Borax,
1 c. each of:
washing soda
peppermint liquid Bronner's (I get it at Hannaford) (I think she used Lemon for mine, rather than Peppermint.)
Oxi-Clean
cheapo all-fabric bleach.
I start with the Borax and mix it with the Bronner's first because the Borax flies EVERYwhere when it's dry. I use my food processor and put a Hannaford bag over it while I'm starting with the dry stuff. Then I usually dump it into a big bowl and whisk (slowly) the rest of the things in, and the re-process to break up the clumps.
It's a little tedious, but nothing NEAR like making liquid stuff (I've tried). I usually make a double batch, and it lasts almost 2 months sometimes if it's not soccer season.
First, I don't have a food processor, so I might have to remedy that.  I've been meaning to, but it's just never been a priority.
Also, I have been using liquid for decades because I heard it was better for the life of my washing machine.  I now can't find documentation for that theory online anywhere, so I'm willing to try the switch.  Reading this article after surfing and reading several opinions, finally helped me make up my mind.
