The Waning Summer

We went to Reid State Park Beach again today. This time we took the fork to the left; the right fork was closed. No matter. It was a beautiful day to be at the beach. So hot back home, so nice wading the shoreline following the path of a seal as it seemed to follow the large fish jumping high out of the waves.

One of these stormed our snack sack and stole part of the stash.
It occured to me that we rarely bring snacks, so we didn't think about securing them. Silly.
I think we need a steel box to prevent their onslaught.

Flocks flittering around in groups all in unison. Sometimes they shimmer and sometimes they are dark specks. All so close to the water.

Sitting and talking without thinking about fidgety feet!

In case you get tired from wading through the sand to get from your spot near the water back to the car, you can rest a bit.

The contrast in colors by the ocean is so captivating.
