Dishes

Today while checking my blog list for updates, I happened upon this post.  I scrolled down to see a pretty table all set for tea.  I scrolled down more and was stunned to see some very familiar dishes.  My dishes!  Ok, our first dishes from when we first got married.  I think they are called Arcopal, Apple Blossom, and we bought them in a box at Woolworths at the King of Prussia mall a week or two after we got married in 1985.  Over the years I've tried to find more pieces, but decided they were a fly-by-night pattern.  I did happen upon a few dinner plates at a yard sale several years ago and snatched them up.  They were resilient like Corelle, but I packed them away to use Pfaltzgraff for a while.  That I found to be too heavy, to bulky, and just a pain to avoid breaking as the boys began to arrive.  So, I switched to Corelle in 1996 and haven't really looked back.  This post, however, makes me want to take them out and use them.  I guess I'll have to wait until the construction is done.

Speaking of construction, the recessed lighting hardware arrived today and Micah is setting it in.
