Cards from old Calendars

So, why throw out last year's calendar when you can play with paper, scissors and glue like back in kindergarten?  This blog post (read last night when I could not sleep,) inspired me to try repurposing one of mine from 2011.

Here's the calendar I started with.  It's all about coffee!!

I took the staples out, took the cover and cut all those cute little images off of the back.

Then I made a template.  I couldn't figure hers out, so I made my own.  I sacrificed one of my own unused envelopes to trace and then modify it.
Then I cut this out of cardboard, traced it onto all 12 large calendar images.  I cut the first one out, then grabbed white card stock to start making the cards thinking I might use some of the scraps.  Didn't like the scraps from this one so I got paper out of my stash.  Went random a bit and thought it was ok.

With the next one, I used scraps from the large cut out envelope.

After I did this one I felt like I was getting a little carried away.  This was supposed to be a quick reuse of materials so I could send some notes out to friends and family after Christmas.  This was fun, but, I do have some other things to do! So, I got out some quick squares from my stash and adhered them and called it a night.  I'll make the rest of the cards and envelopes tomorrow, or later.
Don't ask me why this photos is sideways.  For the life of me I can't figure it out.  It's horizontal in my file.
