"While We're at it..."

So, I warn you not to look at the photos below if you have a weak stomach.  Seriously, it's pretty brutal.  We don't know when the design of set in metal sinks changed, but this one is obviously an older model.  We figure we've found our leak.

It started with putting a new surface on the counters.  Then became, remove the backsplash fake brick.  Then became, change out the outlets.  Then became, move the garbage disposal switch up with the light switch rather than down in the cabinet.  (I think I'm going to paint that switch red as a warning.) Then became, oh, I think we need a new sink 'cause this one is ancient.  Then became, we need a valve for the water since you shouldn't have to shut off the water to the whole house to work on the sink.

Micah is out at the store now buying yet another item to help the process.
