(Obligatory) New Year's Post

OK, I found it.  When Anna started a blog here at Blogspot, I thought I'd do the same.  I don't know how to manage my other one beyond posting, and my in-house blog tech is no longer in-house, so it's time for me to find something I can figure out on my own.  Or, something ready-made, I should say.  Figuring it all out on my own is still to be questioned.

I've big lists today.  One of which is not, "Figure out how to transfer my archives from the blog started in 2006 to this one."  I guess I'm going to have to put that off for another time.  One item also not on the list is to, "Make the artwork and design of this new blog the way I want it."  Nope, can't do that either.  I can, however, start writing, so here I am. (Several Hours later:  Well, I've done both.  I've stylized this new blog just a bit, and I've transferred my archives from my old blog.  Here is a link to my very first post in its new home: http://dothenextthings.blogspot.com/2006/04/joining-fray.html#more)

That said, off I go.  That's all I have time for for now, because I have the big list I wrote.  Yup, gotta get to it!  Wait, let me see if I can load a photo.  I want to put photos up a lot....I should start today if it isn't beyond me....Ok, there's the photo.  Look at the red text that I added to the image in Picasa.  This page has my granparents on it!  There is another photo on I think page 35 of my Grampa. Leo Scribner working in the Schusse Cafe.  Somewhere else they are mentioned as well.
Well, it's a start, but not great.  Let's just try this for now:
These are the bagels Anna made from her brand new gift cookbook from Aunt Laurie!

  1. This is a great start -- how exciting!
I have never sat and perused that Sugarloaf book, and so I didn't realize that there were pics of Gram and Gramp in it - cool!
    And bagels! Seriously?
    Wow...
